Q&A
Do you provide food for our event?
We don’t run a full kitchen on site (aside from bar snacks), but we work closely with some brilliant local food partners. From laid-back bites to full catering, we’ll help you line up something that fits your night perfectly.
Can we bring our own food?
Absolutely. If you’ve booked a private space — or you’re just bringing a birthday cake — you’re welcome to bring your own food. We’ll happily provide plates and cutlery.
Can you provide a DJ or music?
We can recommend trusted local DJs who know how to keep the room moving. Prefer to bring your own? No problem. In select spaces like the Punch Room, you can plug into our independent sound system and run your own playlist or set.
Can I choose my own menu for the occasion?
Of course. We’ll work with you to create a bespoke cocktail list — think crowd-pleasing classics, personal favourites, or something a little unexpected to give your event its own signature flavour.
Do you allow children or pets at events?
For private rooms such as the Punch Room, guests under 18 are welcome under your supervision. We issue wristbands to ensure no alcohol is served to under-age guests.
Pets aren’t permitted, unfortunately — with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
How do I secure my booking?
Once we’ve agreed on the room, date, guest numbers, and costs, we’ll send you a booking link to take the deposit. Once that’s paid, your space is locked in. Please note: deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within 30 days of the event.
What happens if our guest numbers change?
If numbers drop, you’re still welcome to keep the room as booked. If numbers increase beyond the room’s capacity, we’ll work with you to explore alternative options that suit your plans.
Do you have disabled access?
Yes. We operate across two floors in a historic Victorian building, so upstairs access isn’t suitable for wheelchairs. Our downstairs spaces are fully accessible.
Can I book any of the areas for any day?
Most areas are available to book throughout the week. Full venue hire options are usually not possible on Fridays and Saturdays, as we like to keep the bars open for our regulars. That said, we’re always happy to chat and find an option or alternative that works for your event.
Do you allow 18th birthday parties?
Our event bookings are for ages 21+ only, so we’re unable to host 18th birthday celebrations.
Can we put up balloons or banners?
Definitely. The space is yours for the evening — decorate it how you like. We just ask that nothing causes lasting damage or permanent changes.
Can I visit the bar beforehand to look at the options?
Absolutely. If you haven’t already crossed our threshold — or you just fancy a refresher — we’re happy to arrange a visit. We’ll show you around the spaces, talk through your options, and help you plan a night worth remembering with the team.
